The Business Systems Analyst-Data Services evaluates and documents requirements to solve moderately difficult business problems, or segments of more complex problems, and communicates the procedures for implementation of these solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Evaluates previously defined EDW and data systems and selects from a range of alternatives to determine the appropriate data sources and logic to be used.Analyzes and proposes data-related development tasks. Advises users in efficient and effective use of EDW and related systems, and answer user questions as needed.Develops or assists in the development of work plans, task sequencing, test cases, and test plans, and executes test plans as needed.Assists the Senior Business Systems Analyst to estimate resource needs for analysts, developers, user personnel, consultants, equipment, etc. Advises the users of existing IT systems and how those can be applied to a problem. Performs necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to assist in determining project feasibility. Performs routine duties independently; discusses or seeks approval on complex matters with the Senior Business Systems Analyst. Prepares routine project status reports. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
